Gamers: Get Ready for Battle of the Seas

Posted: Updated:

June 2, 2014. USA/Europe. Ahoy gamers – get ready for Battle of the Seas. A group of game development and game design students are developing a new game that is sure to rock the boat. This is an online competitive MOBA game with ships and captains. Similar to popular games like Heroes of Newerth, Dota 2, and League of Legends although takes place in the sea and has additional exclusive features and allows you to mix n’ match ships with captains skills with nearly a 1000 different combinations. Additionally, allowing you to compete with a multiplayer option for up to 3 teams for more chaos and fun!

The crew at Cyprus-based DTM Games start-up may be onto the next big thing. Without funding – it can’t happen. Take advantage of loads of Pirate-themed perks in support of the motley cast of characters. Since there are no existing gaming companies in Cyprus the dedicated group has teamed up with internationally renowned and respected SQUARE ENIX - a global company based in Japan to help guide these first-time developers. Information about the Battle of the Seas development will also be posted on the SQUARE ENIX Development and design/animation is well underway and the hope is that the Indiegogo campaign will help it to catch fire.

Check out the cast of captains, crew and creeps and some awesome animation at the Indiegogo campaign site. Right now these young developers are doing this on the side and in their spare time. They all still have to work day jobs to pay the bills. With your help, the beta version could be ready next year. The hope is that this new crowd-sourced funding campaign will help the gang have a small annual paycheque so that this can be their fulltime job and the release will happen ASAP. Donations big and small will help pay for salaries, marketing promotions via ENIX and Indiegogo, and legal/licensing fees. Don’t miss your chance to have real input into the game and get your hands on the product first. Every dollar counts and you can get in on the action and have your name in the game for very low price points. For larger donations you can get posters, original sketches and much more. Perks for under 10€ make a unique gift idea for the young gamer/fan on your list! For just one Euro any little gamer can get the Seaman badge next their name in-game after the game is released.

Can’t contribute but want to help? Speed up the release and have a say in the game by upping your rewards via a referral system. This allows you to bring in contributors and win amazing prizes for just a few clicks of your mouse. For five or more referrals you get a Closed Beta Key, 10 referrals gets you a Closed Beta Key and Wallpapers for the desktop.
