Houston Will Soon Host Warlocks Games and Beer, a Unique Destination for Gaming Enthusiasts and Beer Lovers

Posted: Updated:

Downtown Houston will soon be the home of one of the most appealing nerd hangouts in the country: Warlocks Games and Beer. Founded by longtime aficionados of craft brewing and gaming culture, Jonathan Niess, Jason Danforth and Jessica Niess, Warlocks Games and Beer will cater to those who love independent breweries as well as those appreciate all forms of gaming. This intersection of the gaming and drinking communities is likely to draw hordes of new customers who enjoy a raucous, good time.

Warlocks Games and Beer started by participating in the League of Extraordinary Brewers, an organization which allows craft brewers to create and sell their personal brand of suds. In just over a year, Warlocks’ particular brew attracted a huge following which purchased almost $13,000 worth of product. This intense thirst for Warlocks’ beer has convinced these enterprising entrepreneurs to establish a permanent brewery and drinking establishment.

Warlocks Games and Beer is seeking financial contributions from the public to help them purchase the property, brewery equipment, and games necessary to launch their business. The gaming aspect of this enterprise will include a number of classic and current video games, as well as equipment for popular board games like Settlers of Catan and Arkham Horror. They have even developed their own proprietary game called Cards Against Brewmanity.

Financial contributors can expect a number of exciting rewards for their contributions including T-shirts, caps, lifetime memberships, the Cards Against Brewmanity game, and a tattoo on one of the business owners. For those who cannot make a financial contribution at this time, they can also help this crowd funding campaign by spreading the word on Facebook or Twitter.
