Police are searching for an individual Thursday morning that shot a man multiple times in north Tulsa.

Paramedics were sent to the area near the 1600 block of West Newton after being told that a man was shot. This is just north of the Tulsa Country Club.

Initial details provided to KTUL state that the man was outside an apartment complex when he became involved in a confrontation with several individuals. One of those individuals was in a vehicle and reportedly shot at him and left the scene.

Officers with the Tulsa Police Department stated that the victim was able to walk to a nearby residence and call 911. He received gunshot wounds to the upper shoulder area and was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Before being transported, the victim was able to provide a description of the suspect to officers. Investigators believe they have a good idea of where the suspect may be located.
