Tulsa Shock Get First Win of the Season

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa capitalized on four players in double figures for its first win this season after five losses, 94-78 over Phoenix on Friday night.

Rookie Odyssey Sims scored a career-high 21 points - of course she's played only five pro games - while backcourt mates Skylar Diggins and Riquna Williams finished with 20 and 17 points, respectively. Glory Johnson added 16 for the Shock.

The victory ended a seven-game skid dating back to last season.

Diana Taurasi had 22 points to lead Phoenix (4-2). She worked for every point as Sims harassed the veteran guard into 5-of-12 shooting. Taurasi was a perfect 12 of 12 on free throws.
