Police Search for Man Who Attacked 4 Women

Posted: Updated:

Authorities are looking for a man suspected of raping one woman and sexually assaulting three others.

Officers say the rape case show the man is getting more violent.

"It appears he has gotten a lot more violent than he was in previous attacks. Although the other attacks were violent they did not rise to the level it did last night. It does appear that this individual is escalating his attacks," said Leland Ashley of the Tulsa Police Department.

Tulsa Police were notified Wednesday evening that a woman had been raped near 14th and Elwood. She told them that the attack occurred when she stepped outside to check with her neighbors about a power outage at her residence.

It was when the woman returned inside her home that she found the suspect and he reportedly assaulted her and raped her.

Officials told KTUL that the second offense happened June 8 near 4200 S. Detroit. A woman stepped out to feed her pet and a man forced his way into her home. He did not rape her, but assaulted her and made threatening remarks similar to those made in the other cases and stole money.

Another incident took place June 6 at the Copper Mill apartments on 71st Street when the suspect assaulted a woman in the parking lot, trying to steal from her. He was eventually able to pull her pants down, made similar remarks and then left.

Police sent out an update Thursday afternoon saying they had linked an additional case from June 5. A man broke into a woman's apartment in the 1100 block of East 45th Place and assaulted the woman, holding a knife to her throat.

Officials believe the man is 5 foot 8 inches to 5 foot 10 inches in height and 180 pounds. Each victim reported that he may be either a black or Hispanic male and driving a unidentified vehicle.

One victim said he had a tattoo on his right forearm.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at 918 596 COPS.

"So maybe you saw a vehicle that didn't look right, maybe got a tag number, you didn't think much at the time. Now it's important, go ahead and give us a call," said Ashley.
