Cops and Robbers 5K to Benefit the Downed Officers Fund

Posted: Updated:
The Oklahoma Gang Investigators Association (OGIA) will host the 2nd Annual Cops and Robbers 5K and fun run tonight at 8.

This is a themed race, and participants are encouraged to dress as cops and robbers. Along the course, "robbers" will have bags of prizes to give to the runner who catches them. Runners try to catch as many robbers as they can to collect cash and prizes.

Tulsa Police officers and other area officers with the OGIA will participate in the race. The goal is to raise awareness and stop gang violence in our community.

The proceeds will go to the OGIA's Downed Officers Fund, which provides financial support to the families of officers who died in the line of duty.

The race takes place at River Parks (9600 Riverside Dr.) at 8 p.m.
