Police announced that a Tulsa woman is most wanted this week after being charged with first degree murder for an incident in February.

Prosecutors charged Gracie Jeff in May with first degree murder and first degree burglary. Tulsa police stated this week that an award is being offered for any information leading to her arrest.

Previous reports from KTUL state that Jeff is wanted in connection for an attempted robbery that took place at an apartment complex near 71st and Garnett. She had been staying at the apartment with the man living there and allegedly had a part in the robbery.

Police responded to the apartment complex when they received word that a man, identified as Michael Walton, had been fatally shot. After further investigation, it was determined that Walton had actually been shot by the apartment renter during the attempted burglary.

Investigators determined that the shooting was justified and the apartment renter was not arrested. At the time of the incident, Jeffs' interview with officers was "inconsistent with the evidence."

Court records indicate that she was charged a few months after for her alleged role in the robbery that led to the death of Walton. She also has an additional misdemeanor warrant for larceny of merchandise.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at 918 596 COPS.
