TORONTO, June 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ExpertFile, a leader in expert content marketing solutions for organizations, today announced significant enhancements to its platform.  The addition of new "Private Profiles" opens up new market opportunities for ExpertFile from private member/employee only directories, to investor relations and sales/customer support applications.

With "Private Profiles," ExpertFile now helps organizations leverage ALL of their experts in a way that works best for their organization. "Organizations have a wide range of experts, from media trained executives, to conference savvy thought leaders to internal subject matter experts," says Peter Evans, CEO ExpertFile.   "When we think about how we profile all of these personalities within an organization, it's important to consider the degree of visibility, access and control that we need to provide when we profile them online."

ExpertFile is delivering on the demands of its customers in corporate, academic and institutional markets.  "As we talked through the technical possibilities, it became clear that we could help our clients with a wide range of private profile use cases," says Robert Carter – VP Product ExpertFile. "Our new private profile capabilities can extend easily into an organization's website through on-domain, private directory integrations using our API."

With just a few clicks, Expert profiles can now be set as either "public" or "private." Private profiles will not appear in the ExpertFile's Marketplace or discoverable by search engines like Google.   Private profiles can however still be used for outreach activities, easily shared with media, event organizers, or potential business partners and clients through a password protected, encrypted URL.

Private profiles can also be integrated directly into your organization's internal intranet using the ExpertFile REST API with no need for ongoing IT support.  To eliminate the challenge of locating and connecting with internal subject matter experts, organizations for instance can create a searchable "member only" directory or internal "expert finder" website which is password protected. Now the full functionality of the ExpertFile profile engine and directory structure can be leveraged by a host of content management, social enterprise and marketing automation platforms.
