String of Earthquakes Continues with 4.0 Near Medford

Three earthquakes with a magnitude of at least 4.0 have rattled Oklahoma over the past three days.

A magnitude 4.0 earthquake was reported by the United States Geological Survey at 2:11 p.m. today eight miles southwest of Medford and 21 miles north of Enid.

The earthquake had a depth of 2.5 miles.

A 4.3 magnitude earthquake struck five miles north of Spencer and 12 miles northeast of Oklahoma City and 5:53 a.m. Wednesday. Its depth was 3.1 miles.

A few minutes after 9 a.m. this morning, a 3.7 magnitude quake rattled four miles northeast of Langston and 11 miles southwest of Stillwater. The earthquake's depth was 3.1 miles, the USGS reports.

On Monday, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake hit two miles northwest of Jones and 13 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.
