Tulsa Most Wanted Suspect Killed in Washington State

Port Orchard, Wash. -- Detectives from the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office are continuing to investigate an officer involved shooting with a Tulsa County Most Wanted Suspect that occurred in Port Orchard, Washington, Thursday night.

According to KTUL's sister station, KOMO-TV Seattle, Washington, at 8:15 pm on Thursday evening, June 19, 2014, three Port Orchard Police officers reportedly responded to a Bremerton address in an effort to locate and arrest suspect, 36-year-old Thomas D. Rogers on outstanding felony arrest warrants.

Rogers has the following outstanding warrants for his arrest;· 

- Five counts of Child Molestation out of Tulsa County Sheriff's Office in Tulsa, Oklahoma ($500,000 Bail)· 

- Failure to Appear for Assault 4th Degree out of Port Orchard Municipal Court. ($10,000 Bail)·

- Probation Violation for 4th Degree Assault out of Kitsap County Superior Court ($10,000 Bail)

KOMO-TV says, "The suspect, Thomas Rogers was armed with a knife and came toward the officers. The officers fired a Taser at Rogers, but it had no effect on him, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office, which is investigating the incident."

Two officers from the city of Port Orchard Police Department suffered from lacerations and one with an ankle injury, which reportedly led to the officers firing shots at Rogers.

Rogers was pronounced dead when medics arrived on the scene. Both officers were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
