TPD Investigating after 3 Unrelated Rape-Involved Incidents

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa police are investigating after three separate rape-involved incidents.

In one incident, police were called to a rape in north Tulsa at 7:54 a.m. this morning at 200 East Zion. A victim was taken to the hospital for a rape examination and a black male suspect was taken into custody and is currently being interviewed.

In another incident in north Tulsa Saturday night at 2505 East Pine Street, police responded to a residence where a female victim said a man forced himself onto her without her permission. The suspect, Donald Bell, 51, was found there and arrested after a short chase with Tulsa police.

Police say that during the interviewing process with the suspect, he put his hands down his pants and started rubbing his genitals.

Bell was booked on complaints of first degree rape and is being held on over $50,000 bond.

In an overnight incident, a rape victim reportedly showed up at OSU Medical Center. Police have no further details on that incident at the time being.

"There have been no new sexual assaults related to the serial assault suspect,” said Sergeant Mears with TPD's sex crimes division. "The 3 sexual assault reports received this weekend have been acquaintance assaults."
