Tulsa Whirlpool Factory Evacuated After Bomb Threat

Posted: Updated:

The Whirlpool factory in north Tulsa County was evacuated late Sunday night after the facility received a bomb threat.

Tulsa County Sheriff's deputies were called to the facility just before 11:00 p.m. They worked with security officers to search the building, but say they found no explosive devices.

Investigators with the Sheriff's Office tell Channel 8 that the suspect used a phone device to make a threat about an explosive.

The suspect, Arielle Jackson, 22, has been arrested and is being held on $50,000 bond. Deputies say Jackson is denying she did anything wrong. A dozen employees were working at the time and were allowed back into the building once it was cleared.
