Mayes County Man Arrested After Wife Transported with Gunshot Wounds

A Mayes County man is behind bars Monday afternoon after his wife was found with a several gunshot wounds.

Few details were made available at this time, but officials with the Mayes County Sheriff's Office told KTUL that Dale Aaron was booked into the jail for shooting with intent to kill. This was after an incident that took place Sunday evening.

Emergency paramedics were sent to Aaron's residence in Inola after receiving reports of a shooting. They found his unidentified wife with gunshot wounds and transported her to an area hospital.

Officials have not released any other background information for what lead up to the shooting. No details were provided on the woman's condition.
