Woman Stabbed 12 Times Coming to Daughter's Defense

A woman was stabbed 12 times coming to her daughter's defense Thursday morning in north Tulsa.

Emergency paramedics were sent to the Bradford Apartments near the Gilcrease Expressway and 32nd Street North. It was there that the woman was located with multiple stab wounds around her body.

Initial details release from the Tulsa Police Department state that the incident began when the suspect, identified as Olympia Jones, was in a downstairs apartment and was apparently intoxicated and being loud.

Police stated that the stabbing victim's daughter went downstairs to tell Jones to be quiet and the situation escalated.

Officers state Jones pulled a knife out and began attacking the woman. The victim's mother came downstairs and stepped into the altercation. Paramedics listed her in stable condition at an area hospital.

Jones was booked into the Tulsa County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
