OHP: Four Inmates Injured in Bus Fight

Posted: Updated:

A federal bus carrying 40 to 50 inmates was the scene of a fight early Monday morning.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that guards were forced to pull the bus over on I-44 near the Newcastle toll gate after inmates on the bus had started to fight.

Authorities say law enforcement officials were able to eventually get the fight under control. Four inmates had been injured during the fight and one was transported to an area hospital. Other inmates on hand were transferred to another bus.

No law enforcement officials or guards were injured during the fight.
