Women's polo is the largest growing sector in polo today. More and more women of all ages, including junior players, are getting involved at local polo clubs from Los Angeles to Wellington. Sixteen of the nation's polo playing women will meet up to start the weekend celebrations starting on Thursday that will continue into Sunday with a final match at 2:00 at the Kentucky Horse Park with a champagne reception that will follow.

The final match will declare one team the winner of the first annual tournament. Trophies were provided by Nespresso and Noble Outfitters! The growth of women's polo is skyrocketing mainly because of the WCT, which was created in 2005 to help consolidate women's polo and promote high quality competition throughout the world.

A Women's Tournament Committee was created to encourage and increase the participation of women in the USPA, polo's national governing body, to improve the standard of women's polo. For more information on the National Women's Bluegrass Invitational, visit LexingtonPolo.com.
