Three Injured During Attempted Carjacking in North Tulsa

Three individuals were injured Friday afternoon during an attempted carjack in north Tulsa.

Tulsa authorities were called to the area near Cincinnati Avenue and Apache Street in reference to a shooting. Officers discovered that a suspect jumped into a pickup truck and attempted to steal the vehicle.

Officials told KTUL that the situation escalated inside the vehicle when two individuals were shot by the suspect. Another person inside was injured when the pickup truck wrecked into a pole.

Paramedics arrived on scene and provided care to the individuals. A witness in the area attempted to stop the suspect and was almost injured by a gunshot, he was treated at the scene due to the glass that grazed him.

Officers were able to locate the suspects involved in the attempted carjacking at a nearby apartment complex. Their arrest details were not provided at this time.
