Summer Heat Calls for Cool-Down Strategies

Posted: Updated:

With the temperatures rising this weekend, EMSA medics reported responding to five patients with heat-related symptoms on Saturday.

Four of those patients were transported to local hospitals in fair condition.

EMSA wishes to remind Tulsans to drink plenty of water, take breaks in the shade, keep your air conditioning running (PSO has programs for some concerned with the cost of an electric bill), wear light-colored and loose-fitting clothing along with a nice hat when engaging in outdoor activities.

Also remember to never leave a child or pet in the car alone during these summer conditions.
