The victim of last weekend's overnight stabbing has been identified as 29-year-old Wesley Westcott.

Police arrested 39-year-old Terry Hansen as a suspect on complaints of first degree murder after Westcott was stabbed to death overnight in the 500 block of South 55th West Avenue.

When police arrived on scene at approximately 2:23 a.m., they reportedly found Westcott who was dead from stabbing wounds inside a vehicle.

Hansen was arrested on warrants just before 10 a.m. Sunday inside a residence near Oklahoma and Kingston. His arrest was made after police located two of the other individuals involved in the incident and questioned them in a traffic stop at 5:17 a.m. Sunday. Information from that traffic stop led to the identification of Hansen.

Police say all parties involved in the incident knew each other and they were all there to "right a wrong." KTUL asked TPD homicide sergeant Dave Walker if drugs played a role in the stabbing and he said that he did not know if drugs had anything to do with the stabbing itself but he thinks that drugs likely influenced their behavior.

The motive is still being investigated.

This is Tulsa's 26th homicide of 2014, reports Walker.
