Lawsuit Seeks Refunds for Oklahomans Who Had Licenses Revoked

Posted: Updated:

A judge has set a hearing on whether to grant class-action status to a lawsuit involving drivers whose licenses were revoked for alcohol related offenses.

It's due to a faulty affidavit once used by the Oklahoma department of public safety.

Last year, a court ruled that affidavit did not comply with state law. The affidavit has been changed.

The lawsuit seeks refunds for an estimated 40,000 drivers who lost their licenses between 2008 and October 2013.

That could total $11 million.

The hearing is set for august 7th in Oklahoma City.
