RECORD COOL SNAP?

Posted: Updated:

What month is it? With temperatures well below normal for this time of year, it felt more like early spring or fall today, and the cooler temperatures will stick around a few more days.

There's a good chance that record lows Wednesday morning will be tied or broken, including Tulsa's record of 57 set in 1967. With rain moving in all day Thursday, it's likely that we will set a record low high temperature that day. The previous record low high temperature for July 17 is 82 set in 1989, but the rain should keep the area in the upper 60s to low 70s.

The rain will move out by Friday, and sunshine will return for the weekend with highs still slightly below normal for this time of year.

Enjoy the temporary break from the summer heat!
