Woman dies when struck by vehicle in Mayes County

MAZIE, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 43-year-old woman was killed when she was struck by a vehicle that left the scene of the collision near Mazie in Mayes County.

An OHP report says Penny Lynn Dawson of Chouteau was dead at the scene of the collision that occurred about 3:30 a.m. Thursday a county road about four miles east of Mazie.

The report says the vehicle with an unknown driver was northbound when it struck Dawson in the roadway - then left the scene.
