Amber Alert Canceled, Oklahoma Infant Found Safe in Texas

Posted: Updated:

A 5-month old baby was found safe after an Amber Alert was issued for her on Thursday.

Investigators believed Cindy Findley, the great aunt of Olivia Smith had taken her from her grandmother's home near Cashion.

They were found safe in Seminole, Texas around 1:00 this morning.

Findley's husband issued a statement about the case saying his wife had legal documents authorizing the removal of the child.

He says it's a private family matter that escalated with misleading statements.

At this point, no arrests have been made.

The Kingfisher County Sheriff's Department is still investigating.
