Officer Involved Shooting Reported in Wagoner County

Wagoner County Deputies reportedly responded to a call of an assault with a knife in the Broken Arrow area of Wagoner County, Monday.

When Deputies got on scene, they were reportedly confronted with an armed standoff with the suspect. Wagoner County Sheriff's Office requested Broken Arrow Police assistance.

"While attempting to take the subject into custody with the assistance of BAPD, non lethal means were used in an attempt to resolve the situation, but the suspect attacked officers with a weapon," says, Major Gary Handley, Wagoner County Sheriff's Office.

A combination of the Officers / Deputies on the scene reportedly fired their weapons. The suspect was reportedly struck an unknown number of times and transported to a local Tulsa hospital.
